Boundaries can become overgrown and lines unclear which can result in loss of land and/or views not to mention unslightly quarters. As can be seen on the ‘before’ photo the kohuhu and nikau would have been destroyed by rampant vines – they are now features of the landscape and will influence future design in this garden. Boundary pegs and a stringline can quickly reinstall tenure and the addition of a paling fence painted to give a feeling of enclosure and to provide a backdrop for planting and other landscaping options.
