Landscaping site

This terraced site was partially landscaped when Mahi Atua was called in to complete the work.  Another railway sleeper step has been added which leads down to a paved area surrounded in limestone and pebble mulch complementing the locally made pavers and shell and pebble mulch used on the steps.  A row of corokias (C. Geenty’s Green) have been planted around edge of upper level.
On the bottom level two raised vegetable gardens have been constructed.

Installation of gardens (not garden shed) including a retaining rock wall.  Mound above rock wall planted in native grasses to give a dynamic dimension to the static environment.
Below rock wall planted in cabbage trees, nikau palms and manuka cultivars.
A row of kohuhu (Pittosporum tenuifolium) planted for privacy and shelter.

This rock wall had been recently installed and there were signs that it was deteriorating so we put in a rock edging above it to help reduce the load on the wall and planted the space with herbs.  The area above it was planted with a variety of yuccas and agaves.
